This research addresses the formulation of a university model in Venezuela uses that technology, completely approaching
some essential theoretical and methodological aspects, and focusing it as an opportunity to overcome the shortcomings of the low-scientific production model to meet the challenges posed by the current economic crises. It concludes with some ideas regarding the search for a university model with intensive use of ICTs, with a vision of selflearning, and cross-cultural and renovated competences.
