Abstract

Given the lack of specialized sign language for teaching and learning Chemistry, an educational resource was designed that incorporates some of these signs for that purpose. The study was based on descriptive field research and is classified as a special project. The electronic educational resource was designed based on cognitive and constructivist theories through images and, complementarily, uses simultaneous translation of the message through Venezuelan Sign Language, allowing for easy understanding of the classification of matter within the universe.
