Historical evolution of social benefits in Venezuela

This article is an integral part of a research work that raises the need to eliminate social benefits in Venezuela to increase the salary of workers and recover the social security system. The research of which this article is part, aims to propose possible solutions to the serious problem that affects Venezuelan society in general, a consequence of a system of labor relations that currently does not exist in any other society in the world and that has impacted directly in inflation, in the deterioration of workers’ wages in Venezuela, as well as in the destruction of the social security system. To achieve this purpose, it is necessary to analyze the historical evolution of the aforementioned system that regulates all labor relations in Venezuela. In this sense, this article (which corresponds to the development of the first chapter of the aforementioned investigation), led to the analysis of Venezuelan legislation from the Republican era to the present, the national doctrine on the subject, historical and economic data, statement of hypothesis of labor relations and calculations of social benef its made by the author.
