Abstract

The aim of this essay is to analyse the social dialogue in the field of occupational safety and health, in order to identify those aspects that have affected its consolidation. In view of the economic crisis currently affecting the country, antagonisms are becoming more acute and it is essential to make use of all instances of social dialogue, with emphasis on those that contribute to the preservation of a fundamental human right for workers, such as the right to health. Work activities are part of the centrality of people and society deserves that all social groups participate in a vital aspect that concerns everyone and that is linked to the preservation of life. In this sense, this study analyses the contributions of the pluralist school or Oxford school. A documentary and descriptive research was carried out. It concludes on the need to establish procedures within the organizations that allow workers access to information and thus guarantee effective social participation; to develop training programs in leadership, negotiation and communication in order to provide workers with the skills required for dialogue, as
well as to institutionalize social dialogue, permanently activating and continuing all the bodies created for this
purpose linked to occupational safety and health, incorporating all the social actors concerned.
