Analysis of environmental sensitivity, applied to the case of pollution by hydrocarbons in the Tocuyo aquifer
Keywords:

The study was based on delimiting the area of contamination by gasoline, in an environmental sensitivity analysis and in the evaluation of control or mitigation alternatives. It was done through the application of Environmental Impact Evaluation Methodologies being these fundamental tools in pollution studies, where the degree of deterioration of the aquifer is intimately linked with the geometry of the site, with the lithology of the reservoir rock and with the vulnerability of the aquifer to be contaminated. Considering the reality of the soil, that is to say, the heterogeneity of this, the environmental impact due to hydrocarbon contamination is defined, as the deterioration that the human being causes on the environment and in most cases with irreversible effects. The development of this project was carried out using existing data and the methodology of realization of vertical electrical probes with Wenner and Schlumberger device, following the recommendations defined by specialists. Samples were taken in wells P6 and P8, to study the behavior of existing bacteria with their respective laboratory analyzes. Finally, all the information is integrated into analysis software and visualization of these data to be used in a geographic information system (GIS), elaborating different base maps for the representation of the pollutant in the El Tocuyo aquifer and representing the zones of low,
medium and high risk
