UNEXPO virtual learning management system version 2.0

Abstract

The objective of this research was to expand the existing Virtual University in the UNEXPO Vicerrectorate of Puerto Ordaz to all its Vicerrectorates and Nuclei; likewise to improve the deficiencies diagnosed by the users of this teaching platform. The fundamental basis for carrying out the research was the requests of the professors of the nuclei and vice-rectorates of UNEXPO at the national level who have applied to be part of the virtual university. Also the various tools that have caused problems and confusion in some users. The investigation is of experimental type of field since the servers so much database as web are in the room of servers of ORTSI Vicerrectorado Puerto Ordaz; and projective since a proposal of design was developed to solve a problem from a previous process of investigation. As a result, we obtained an interface made in Joomla and Moodle adapted to the needs of the national UNEXPO, so that each nucleus and vice-rectorate has its virtual university. Similarly, all possible sources that could cause confusion to system users in the use of the platform tools were corrected.
