Retrospective study on the development of speckle laser from 1960-2022

Retrospective research of bibliometric type is carried out, to analyze the advances in speckle interferometry, through the revision of the Google Scholar database, valuing the temporal evolution of 41.638 publications; data of the World Intellectual Property Organization, for the 1.009 registered patents and data on the research carried out in the city of Mérida-Venezuela. Analyzing the temporal evolution from 1960 to 2022, sectioned into three periods: from 1960 to 1969, 1970 to 2002, and 2003 to 2022. Adjusting a linear function, showing the maximum slope for the production of annual articles of 118.5 ± 7.7; with an R2 of 0.926, and for patents of 4.91 ± 0.79; an R2 of 0.666; between 2003 to 2022. The production in Merida of 13 articles with 130 citations, 24 undergraduate and master theses between the years 2011 to 2022, design and development of own instrumentation (by reflection and transmission). The adjustment of a Boltzmann-type function is made for the study of the accumulated articles per year, with an R2 of 0.999, and for patents an R2 of 0.995; foreseeing a significant advance in the next 93 years in this line of research.
