Abstract

The purpose of this study is analyzing the scope of science-technology and interculturality as a basis for the equitable interaction of diverse cultures and cultural expressions that favor the processes of inclusiveness and coexistence in all social and cultural areas. One of the topics in the current debate on science and technology is to determine how much they have served to shape modern societies and transform traditional ones. This analysis supposes a different view of Science and Technology because it proposes a break with the positivist and rationalist conceptions that have been dominant during the first two thirds of the century. The study was lo cated with a descriptive field approach. The results showed that there is an overlap between Science, Technology and Interculturality which implies the confluence of diverse factors such as participation, social cohesion, communication and education. These must be analyzed from an integral approach that allows to configure modern societies and transform traditional ones for this. Science and technology are fundamental as a basis for the development of sociocultural groups whose contributions favor the cultural enrichment of citizens and respect for diversity, which is achieved through dialogue and education.
