systematize, categorize, analyze and interpret the information that surrounds us, since only in this way can we obtain successful results, leading to a deeper understanding of the complexity of any social, academic, technological, cultural, economic, among other phenomena. Aspects that are producing changes in the way our societies make decisions. That is why this document shows us the path from
data to becoming useful information for decision making. It is based on a documentary analysis through a descriptive approach. It is clear that the management given to information is relevant in all scientific disciplines, which promote reliable solutions for making informed decisions in a comparable and transparent way.
